Lately 60 minutes hasn’t been enough for the Belleville Senators.
For the fourth time in their last five games the B-Sens went beyond regulation to secure a 3-2 shootout victory over the visiting Syracuse Crunch.
Belleville spotted Syracuse the first 11 shots and first goal of the game before Max Guenette tied it on the power play with his first of the season. Guenette also had an assist and leads Belleville with 8 points. Guenette says offence is nice but:
Josh Currie scored the lone goal of the shootout while goaltender Mads Sogaard stopped all 3 Syracuse shooters. Sogaard stopped 31 of 33 shots in the game.
Belleville improves to 5-3-0-1. They entertain the Cleveland Monsters ( Columbus Blue Jackets) Friday night at 7:05 and Sunday afternoon at 2pm at the CAA Arena.
