Salvation Army Belleville will be launching its annual Christmas Campaign on November 17.
The campaign will launch during the Belleville Senators game against the Manitoba Moose at 7 p.m.
The theme for this year’s campaign is “Hope Beyond Christmas” with a fundraising goal set for $365,000.
Last year’s goal was $315,000 which Salvation Army Belleville was able to exceed, raising a total of $360,000.
Volunteers are needed for the campaign.
There will be a Volunteer Information Night on Monday, November 13 at 6:30 p.m. and on Monday, November 20 at 6:30 p.m. at The Salvation Army Church 290 Bridge Street West.
According to Salvation Army Belleville, the need continues to grow.
The Salvation Army says it has been averaging close to 170 people per night during their Dinner Program, up from an average of 120 over the summer months.
