A North York resident has been charged after allegedly failing to stop for police in Quinte West.
A Quinte West OPP officer on patrol Saturday afternoon around 3 p.m. attempted a traffic stop on Highway 401 but the vehicle failed to stop.
As a result of the investigation, 38-year-old driver Khalil Mazra’a of North York was arrested and charged with:
Flight from Police
Stunt driving – Excessive speed
Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available
Disobey stop sign
The accused was released from custody is scheduled to appear in court November 9.
Additionally, their vehicle was impounded for fourteen days, and their licence was suspended for seven days.
