The Wellington Dukes smashed the Mississauga Chargers 7-3 Friday night at the Duke Dome.
Zander Latreille, Ethan Quick, Connor Hunt, Sacha Trudel, and William Mitchell scored for the Dukes.
The Dukes got off to a strong start, taking four goals in the first frame while only allowing the Chargers to get one, and securing a strong early lead. The second period went by with almost no goals from either team, until the Chargers grabbed their second of the night with barely a minute left on the clock. Going into the final period, the Dukes came back with three more goals, and while the Chargers picked up one more, they couldn’t close the gap and left the Dukes with the win.
The Dukes are up against the Stouffville Spirit on Sunday.
