Two people are facing charges following a drug investigation in Quinte West.
About 5:30 a.m. Thursday, the OPP Community Street Crime Unit and Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence on Princess Street in Trenton.
Police seized a quantity of suspected fentanyl and other drugs, as well as a firearm, ammunition and other weapons.
Two Trenton residents were arrested.
Kristoffer Gardner, 33, is charged with:
Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid
Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Psilocybin
Possession of proceeds of crime
Fail to comply with undertaking – Two counts
Unauthorized possession of a firearm
Possession of prohibited device or ammunition
Erica Varley, 31, faces charges of:
Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid
Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Psilocybin
Possession of proceeds of crime
Unauthorized possession of a firearm
Possession of prohibited device or ammunition
Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order – Two counts
Both accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
