Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services is meeting its targets when it comes to all-important responses to medical emergencies.
For example, the target to bring a defibrillator on scene within six minutes is 35% of the time. In the past year Hastings-Quinte paramedics are getting that job done 40% of the time.
The goal for having ambulances arrive on scene within eight minutes is 50% of the time. Local paramedics have been able to respond that quickly 60% of the time.
In all other categories Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services is achieving well above provincially approved targets.
