Brighton council is directing staff to report on speed cameras.
Monday night, council asked staff for details on automated speed enforcement.
Mayor Brian Ostrander.
“These would be speed trap cameras and we have lots of roadways in the community where we get consistent speeding complaints.”
Cost of the equipment and its installation, locations in the municipality for the cameras, and the revenue generation, will be a part of the report returning to council in the next month.
