The Trenton Golden Hawks have moved into first place in the OJHL’s Eastern Conference after yet another shutout by goaltender Benjamin Bonisteel – his fourth of the season.
Bonisteel turned away 26 shots as the G-Hawks skated to a 3-0 win over St. Mikes in Toronto.
Bonisteel’s goals against average falls to 1.0 in 8 appearances this season.
Corbin Roach, Adam O’Mara and Barret Joynt provided the offence as Trenton improves to 10-1.
The Golden Hawks have jumped from 18th to 9th place on the weekly Canadian Junior Hockey League rankings.
Trenton is home to the Aurora Tigers on Friday night.
