After a summer of some uncertainty over the ownership situation in Ottawa and Belleville the Senators are ready for their 7th season in the American Hockey League.
It begins Saturday night on the road against the defending Calder Cup champion Hershey Bears.
Ottawa Senators assistant general manager Ryan Bowness is now in his second year as the B-Sens G.M.
Speaking to Quinte News Bowness says the change in ownership to Michael Andlauer led to some uncertainty during the off-season.
Bowness has added high end veterans Matthew Highmore, Garrett Pilon, Jiri Smejkal and Bokondji Imama to a roster boasting 13 returning players, five of which are on the blueline.
The B-Sens will play their first two games on the road. They’re in Allentown Pennsylvania for a Sunday matinee against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
Belleville’s home opener is October 21st against the Laval Rocket.
