The Hastings/Quinte Long-Term Care Committee approved recommendations related to the Local Priorities Fund Program by Hastings Manor and Hastings-Centennial Manor.
Among them includes approving an application for specialized resident care/equipment funding from the program.
According to a report to the committee, Ontario Health has reached out to all long-term care home partners for an opportunity to submit proposals for potential funding.
The funding would be targeted investments in specialized staffing, equipment and services in alignment with the 2023-24 Local Priorities Fund policy.
Last year, the Centennial Manor received $46,140 and Hastings Manor received $61,635 in funding.
That money was used to purchase bariatric equipment to support current and future residents in the homes.
