The Hastings County Community and Human Services committee is recommending Hastings County Council provide a letter of support to the Coalition for Improved Rural Mental Health.
The coalition is made up of individuals who are concerned about the lack of mental health services in rural Hastings County, specifically in the Centre Hastings area.
Specifically cited are the available organizations’ lack of capacity to offer mental health services in the area.
A letter of support has been sent by most municipalities as well as MPP Ric Bresee, who later declared himself a member of the coalition.
