Prince Edward County OPP has made an arrest in connection with a lottery scam that stripped a victim of more than $100,000.
Police began investigation on August 21.
The victim was told they’d won the lottery and was convinced to provide money in a variety of forms resulting in a loss exceeding $100,000.
The suspect is believed to have attended the victim’s house to assist in the transactions.
Investigators executed a search warrant on September 28 and arrested 39-year-old Oraine Williamson of Etobicoke on charges of:
Criminal harassment- threatening conduct
Theft over $5000
Fraud over $5000
Mischief to computer data
