The OPP and Belleville police worked together on a stolen vehicle investigation Tuesday night.
Around 6 p.m., city police were called by the Prince Edward County OPP about a 13-year-old girl who took a vehicle from a group home, and assaulted someone.
She was believed to be going to Belleville.
The vehicle, stolen from a Wooler Road residence in Quinte West, was located abandoned in the east end of Belleville, but the teen was nowhere to be found.
Officers received a tip on her location and she was arrested for theft of a motor vehicle.
She was turned over to the OPP and the Quinte West youth is charged with theft over $5,000, assault, and breach of recognizance.
