ENSS Cross-Country – News from the Limestone Invitational – Wednesday, September 27, 2023
On Wednesday, the ENSS cross-country team competed in Kingston at the Limestone Invitational.
Jack Turner was the novice boys’ champion, winning his 4 km race in 14:43. He led his team, including Sullivan Tait (2), Ethan McDougall (4), Dawson Dunham (6), Dom Heller (8), and Alex Botting (15), to a 1st place finish.
The junior boys’ team consisting of Owen McDougall 5), Chase Eddy (7), Noah Groeneveld (9), Nate Boomhouwer (11), Liam Read (17), Orion Kovacs (24), Jon Trescher (28), Cale Flood-Graham (32), Josh Williams (36), Gavin Allen (38), Jon Feyen (45) – were 1st, as well.
Senior boys – Aidan Molenhuis (14), Ethan Miklos (15), Dom Noreau (16), Carter Geens (20), Jacob Wamboldt (46), Casey Barker (47), Owen Turner (48), Todd Burgess (49), and Luca Walsh – were 2nd in their division.
Novice girls – Chloe Nichols (24), Rachel Horton (29), Caris Hennessy (31), Addison Hill (39), Addie Davis (44) – were 5th.
Senior girls – Cadence Tait (4), Willow Bohrson (41), Elena De Luca (47), and Jordyn Newberry (52) – were 6th.
Although the junior girls did not have a full team, three individuals had strong races: Aleena Bos (8), Sophia Waite (29), and Alicia Bromfield (36).
Next up for the Blue Dragons is their own invitational meet, the Bay of Quinte Invitational, to be held in Dunnett Orchards, next Wednesday. Races start at 11:30.
