A deal is being finalized for the Municipality of Tweed to sell the Tweed Oil Kings.
Speaking with Quinte News, Tweed mayor Don DeGenova confirmed that details are being finalized to sell the Oil Kings to Chris Rashotte, owner of Rashotte Home Hardware in Tweed.
“We’re hoping within the next month or two the transaction will have taken place and he will be the new proud owner of the team and we will still be a proud community to have the Oil Kings residing here.”
The Oil Kings play in the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League.
