The Quinte West FireFit team brought home multiple medals at the FireFit national championships in Sarnia last week.
Members of the 2023 Quinte West FireFit team are Shelby Barton, Kevin DeVries, Greg King, Pat Millington, Sean Morphet and Ryan McNaught.
The team’s results at the national championships in Sarnia include a silver medal in the Individual (Over 55) category and a silver medal in the Individual (Chief / Senior Officer) category.
Shelby Barton had a strong rookie season and was the most improved member of the team, dropping 1:30 minutes off her individual race time. Shelby also helped the team bring home two medals in the mixed-relay events.

Greg King – Three Gold and one Silver medal in the Individual – Over 55 division; Three Gold and one Silver medal in the Individual – Chief / Senior Officer division.

The Quinte West FireFit team will compete among 350 athletes at the World Firefighter Combat Challenge in Stuart Beach, Florida in October.
