A second Trash Bash event is being held in Quinte West this year.
Quinte West City Council approved a second event to take place on October 21 at its council meeting on Wednesday.
As part of the resolution, the City of Quinte West also approved having two Trash Bash days annually.
The Trash Bash is a community-wide cleanup that encourages residents to clean up roadsides, parks and other public spaces.
According to a report from Director of Public Works and Environment Services Chris Angelo, the city was able to collect 1.72 tonnes of garbage during the spring event.
Angelo also says in the report that the City of Quinte West has also been in consultation with the City of Belleville for that municipality to participate in the fall Trash Bash event.
