The Trenton Golden Hawks slipped past the Stouffville Spirit 4-3 in overtime on Saturday Night.
Lucas Lapalm, Kyloe Ellis, and Ryan Cutler scored for the Golden Hawks.
The Golden Hawks took an early lead by scoring the first point of the game in under two minutes. The Spirit came back to even the score but the Golden Hawks scored again to take a 2-1 lead into the second frame. Early in the second, the Spirit evened out the score again, and both teams scored once in the third, taking the game into overtime.
Lucas Lapalm scored in overtime, for his second goal of the night, to end the game and take the win for the Golden Hawks.
Trenton’s next game is against the Lindsay Muskies on Friday.
