Nine was the magic number for both the Trenton Golden Hawks and Wellington Dukes as they played their first road games of the new OJHL season.
In Brantford, nines were wild as the G-Hawks trounced the 99ers 9-1.
Adam O’Mara, Ryan Cutler and Jordan Fuller scored two each for Trenton.
The Golden Hawks are off to a 2-0 start. They’re home to the St. Michael’s Buzzers Friday night.
In Pickering William Mitchell scored three goals and an assist to lead the Dukes over the Pickering Panthers 9-0.
Liam Lucas added a pair while Nolan Lane posted the shutout.
Wellington is 1-1. They host the Toronto Junior Canadiens Friday night.
