A Quinte West OPP officer sustained minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle.
Officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on Frankford-Stirling Road around 9 o’clock Friday night.
An officer investigating the original collision was struck by another motorist who was passing the scene.
An investigation led to the 43-year-old driver being arrested.
Paul Twiddy of Quinte West was charged with:
Operation while impaired – Alcohol or drugs
Operation while impaired – Blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court September 28.
Additionally, his vehicle was impounded for seven days, and his licence was suspended for 90 days.
