The Toronto Jr. Canadiens slipped past the Wellington Dukes 4-3 in overtime at the season opener in the Duke Dome.
Liam Lucas, Mason Goodfellow, and Sacha Trudel scored for the Dukes.
The first period got off to a slow start until the Jr. Canadiens opened scoring after 12 minutes. No more goals came until a dominating second period by the Dukes saw them claim three goals and a startling lead. During the third period, the Jr. Canadiens came back to score twice more to tie the game.
The Jr. Canadiens managed to score first in overtime, taking the win.
The Dukes will face the Pickering Panthers on Sunday.
