One of Ontario’s oldest agricultural fairs kicks off today.
The Picton Fair takes place once again at the Picton Fairgrounds for its 186th year.
According to the fair’s website, the first fair in Prince Edward County took place in 1836 where horse races and prize livestock were draws.
Several events will take place at the fair including arm wrestling, a bake off and auction, a lumberjack show, a skateboard competition, the Impact Motorsports Demolition Derby, live entertainment and a whole bunch more.
The fair runs from Friday to Sunday.
Tickets cost $10 for adults, $5 for students between the ages of 13 and 17 and children under 12 can attend for free.
More information on the fair can be found at the fair’s website.
