August was a very good month as far as the value of new building permits are concerned in Belleville.
Fifty three permits were issued worth a total of almost $53 million.
However, just one project made up most of that total, that being a $35.3 million long term care home planned for vacant land along Sidney Street between Bell Boulevard and Tracey Street.
Meanwhile last month eight permits were issued for new residential units valued at $14.5 million.
In August of 2022 52 permits were issued for a value of $5.7 million.
