Schools have barely opened their doors to start the school year and there’s already been a collision between a passenger vehicle and a school bus.
Luckily it was no more than a fender bender and no one was injured.
The collision happened around 8:15 Tuesday morning at the intersection of Hamilton and Aikin roads.
Quinte West firefighters and the Hastings Quinte Paramedic Service responded to find about 25 Bayside Secondary School students and the driver on the bus.
Firefighters had to work to get the bus door open and students were transferred to another bus to get to school.
