Brighton council will be asked to grant a leave of absence to Deputy Mayor Ron Anderson at its meeting today (Tuesday).
Anderson fell ill on August 11 with doctors later reporting he had suffered a minor stroke.
In granting Anderson a leave of absence to recuperate from the illness, council will also be asked to appoint Councillor Emily Rowley to the role of Acting Deputy Mayor in Anderson’s absence.
Brighton council meets at 6:30 in council chambers.
