The City of Quinte West has announced a cooling centre is open at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Gardens from Tuesday to Friday in response to high temperatures expected in the forecast this week.
There are two consecutive days of temperatures of 31 degrees or higher or humidex values of 35 degrees Celsius or higher that are expected.
The cooling centres will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
Splash pads are also open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in Trenton and Frankford.
