New ambulance on-board computers will be coming to Hastings County.
On Thursday, County Council approved the order after learning several of the on-board units had failed.
This has resulted in an immediate need to purchase six replacement units at a total cost of $30,000 using budgeted funds and will offset the number of replacement computers required in 2024.
Council ratified the actions of the County CAO in approving the partial replacement of ambulance on-board computers and recommended to Hastings County Council that any additional computers be replaced on an “as needed” basis.
Also, County Council approved the order of two new Emergency Response Vehicles as part of the annual replacement for the fleet for the year 2024 at an estimated cost of $160,000 per vehicle.
