While nurses employed by Hastings Prince Edward Public Health are out on strike they’re trying to serve the community in other ways.
While on the picket lines the nurses will accept donations of school supplies Wednesday and Thursday.
On Friday the supplies will be donated to the United Way’s “Backpacks for Success” campaign.
Donations could include backpacks, lunch bags, notebooks, pens and pencils, rulers, and calculators, among other items.
