Due to rain earlier in the day the stock cars were a little late to hit the track Saturday night at Brighton Speedway, however, they did get a full program in.
Ron Wadforth took the lead on lap 18 and rode to victory lane in the 25-lap Canadian Modified race. It was Wadforth’s fifth checkered flag of the season.
Tyler French topped the field of 22 to win the Thunder Stock feature.
Cody Sager led most of the 15 laps including the one that counted in the Comp 4 division.
Nicole Deveau took the lead with a lap to spare in the Stingers race.
And Cole Abrams is the winner if the Mini Stock division.
The evening included the Gord’s Water Vantastics, with 13 entrants starting their feature event in between turns one and two for a crazy turn of events.
Track promoter Mark Rinaldi moved tires onto the race surface to create a chicane and had the drivers making right turns instead of left. Twelve laps of entertaining battle kept poll sitter No 12 Mitch Wilkinson in the lead right to the end.
