The Deseronto Bulldogs are adding some new players to the team.
Former NHL forward Kris Newbury & AHL defenceman Justin Sawyer are joining the Bulldogs team for the upcoming season.
Newbury played eight seasons in the NHL, starting in the 2006/2007 season with the Toronto Maple Leafs, moving to the Detroit Red Wings for one year in 2009/2010, before playing for the New York Rangers from 2010/2011 to 2012/2013 and ending his NHL run with a season in Philadelphia in 2013/2014.
Sawyer played two seasons in the AHL with the Toronto Marlies in 2005/2006 and 2006/2007.
The pair make their debut on September 4, in a pre-season game against the Frontenac Phantoms.
