Warden Bob Mullin announced Friday that Deborah Headley will be the new Director of Community and Human Services of Hastings County.
The role has been vacant since July 2023 when the previous director, Connor Dorey, moved to the position of Chief Administrative Officer.
“Ms. Headley brings extensive experience and leadership to the role including over 20 years working in the public
and social services sector,” said Warden Bob Mullin. “On behalf of the members of Hastings County Council and CAO Connor Dorey, I am pleased to officially welcome her to Hastings County.”
Headley has held multiple positions in the government of British Columbia, and holds a Master’s of Social Work, a certificate of public leadership, and received the Premier’s Award for Excellence and Innovation, Partnership in 2016.
Headley will be taking over the position in mid-September.
