Highland Shores Children’s Aid has named its new Executive Director, promoting from within.
Jess Uddenberg, who was most recently the organization’s Director of Corporate Services, will assume the position September 11.
He has been with the Society since 2007, also holding the positions of Child Protection Worker, Supervisor, Manager and Director of Service.
Board Chair Anne-Marie Burrus said, after conducting multiple interviews, the hiring committee unaimously agreed on Uddenberg and are confident he will successfully lead the Society forward with its renewed strategic direction.
Outgoing Executive Director Tami Callahan rendered her resignation last fall.
“Jess is a strong, well-respected leader at the Society. He has a clear vision for the work at Highland Shores and will bring many positive attributes to the role,” said Tami Callahan.
“I am so honored to be moving into the Executive Director position at Highland Shores. I am energized by the opportunity to lead the agency as we continue to rise to the challenge that each new year brings, while finding innovative ways to serve our communities,” commented Uddenberg.
“The Board also wishes to formally acknowledge the significant contributions of Tami Callahan … most notably, she led the Society through an unprecedented time in history these past few years, but of equal importance, she never
waivered in her advocacy for children and youth in our communities,” said Burrus.
