Four companies have been prequalified by Infrastructure Ontario and Quinte Health for the redevelopment of the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital site.
According to a release from the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation, the companies were prequalified based on criteria set out by a request for qualifications process that began in March 2023.
This included the required construction experience applicable to this project, as well as the financial capacity to deliver the project.
Based on the process, the four companies that prequalify are Ledcor Construction Limited, M. Sullivan & Son Limited, Pomerleau Inc., and Quinte Care Partners.
A request for proposal is expected to be issued to the four companies later in the year.
Once the submissions are received, Infrastructure Ontario and Quinte Health will evaluate the proposals, select a company, and then negotiate a final contract.
The successful company is expected to be announced in the spring of 2024.
