Quinte West firefighters were called out to a fire very close to both CP and CN railway tracks Wednesday morning.
Crews from the Murray Ward hall responded to reports of thick black smoke near Old Highway 2 not far west of Trenton shortly after 7 o’clock.
Reports indicate rubber tires that were located between the CP and CN tracks were on fire.
Railway employees were on the scene as well.
