Weapons and Breach of Probation
On August 21, 2023 at 9 p.m., Belleville police attended a Church Street address regarding a male walking around carrying a knife in his hand refusing to leave the property. Officers arrived on scene and the male was pointed out to them. The male was found to be highly intoxicated and in possession of a hunting knife. The male was also on a current probation order. The 37-year-old Belleville resident was arrested for possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and failing to comply with his probation order. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
Suspended Driver
On August 22, 2023 at 12:30 a.m., Belleville police stopped a vehicle at Pinnacle and Station streets. Investigation revealed that the driver was suspended. The 21-year-old driver from Belleville was charged with driving while suspended, given an October traffic court date and his vehicle was towed.
