Cleaners with Loyalist College are set to head back to the bargaining table on Tuesday as a strike countdown gets underway.
The cleaners, members of the Service Employees Union Local 2, voted overwhelmingly to support a strike last Thursday.
The more than 30 employees, employed by Compass Group Canada, have been without a contract since the end of 2022.
Representing the cleaners, Sharon Hamilton tells Quinte News that a strike countdown is on for Labour Day weekend and the start of the new school year at Loyalist College.
