The trucks that deliver Good Food Boxes are running out of fuel, which could spell trouble for those relying on the food they deliver to eat.
The program has started a summer fundraiser to help finance continued food deliveries, with a goal to raise $20,000.
The Good Food Box is a program run by the Community Development Council of Quinte that provides reduced-price fruits and vegetables to people in the community who have trouble accessing healthy food.
Rising costs of food, housing and other essentials have increased community reliance on support programs like this and local food banks.
