A driver faces several charges including attempt to commit murder after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Deseronto.
Around 1:30 p.m. on August 10, Lennox and Addington OPP responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle on Prince Street.
Police arrived to find one person was struck and sustained serious injuries while a second person was able to move out of the path of the vehicle.
Officers located the suspect vehicle and investigation led to the arrest of the driver.
Daniel Craley, age 54, of Deseronto faces two counts each of attempt to commit murder, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and assault with a weapon.
He’s also charged with failure to stop after accident and criminal harassment.
The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Napanee at a later date.
