A 31-year-old man faces assault and mischief charges after a domestic dispute in Belleville’s east end late Tuesday afternoon.
Police were told a man had assaulted a woman and witnesses got involved to stop the altercation until police arrived on scene just before 6 o’clock. In retaliation, the suspect punched a witness’s vehicle causing minor damage.
After speaking to everyone involved, the man, of no fixed address, was arrested and held for a bail hearing.
