The Community Development Council of Quinte (CDC) is fundraising to keep two important programs running.
The CDC has been addressing food insecurity issues across Hastings & Prince Edward Counties for almost 35 years by providing programs such as the Good Food Box and Good Baby Box.
Current gas prices, along with rentals, insurance and other fees required to run the food programs mean that the CDC is facing higher costs for its delivery trucks and without the trucks, many people won’t be able to access the programs.
One of the ways the CDC is trying to combat this problem is to create more opportunities for donations through an expanded social media presence.
They are encouraging anyone who sees them online to like, share, forward and do everything possible to let others know about them and their Running on Empty campaign.
Donate through the CDC’s Running on Empty page at cdcquinte.com/running-on-empty/ or contact the CDC for donation options.
Donations over $10 will be eligible for a tax receipt.
