It was quite a medal haul for 15-year-old Francis Brennan of the Belleville Beast Swim Team at the Swimming Canada Championships in Scarborough. Four in all.
Brennan, who attends Bayside Secondary School swam to a silver medal in the 200 metre freestyle and a bronze in the 200 metre individual medley over the weekend.
That followed silver medals earned earlier in the 100 and 200 metre backstroke.
Coach Brandon Oates believes it’s the first time a Belleville Beast swimmer has earned multiple medals at a National Championship.
