With the boating season in full swing, Trent Port Marina is having a busy season.
Supervisor of Marina Operation Andrew Belej says they are at about 70% capacity for seasonal slips and have had a very good year with Canadian and American transient boaters who use the marina for temporary docking.
They’ve also had a lot of who Belej calls Loopers – boaters who travel The Great Loop, a continuous waterway that recreational mariners can travel which takes them along the Trent-Severn Waterway.
The Trent Port Marina has 275 slips available for seasonal docking and another 100 for transient boaters.
The marina also has 16 seasonal personal watercraft docks of which half are currently rented.
Belej says they will soon be ready to take deposits for seasonal slips for 2024.
