It was a busy July for the construction industry in Quinte West, but not as busy as last year’s.
Sixty-two permits were issued for construction through July, with a combined value of $8,554,300, which is fewer than the 84 permits issued in July 2022 worth $14,458,750.
Twelve new building permits were issued for residential properties in July, with those permits having a value of $4,470,000.
So far in 2023 Quinte West has issued 378 building permits worth $95,435,300. While this is fewer total permits than last year, having issued 474 permits by the end of July 2022, the total value is significantly higher, as permits issued before the end of July 2022 totalled only $87,550,150 of value.
