The Tyendinaga Thunderbirds Lacrosse Club hosted The Quinte Bayhawks OLA Zone Championship games this weekend in Deseronto.
Two of the three Bayhawk teams came away with banners.
The Nations Best Convenience U9 Quinte Bayhawks beat Kahnawake Mohawks 12 – 2 to take the Zone D Championship.
Scoring for Nations Best were:
Tyvan Grubb, Owen Jenkins, Emmett Baldwin, Ben Burmaster, Hudson Armstrong, Wyatt Valenta x two, Cooper Holden x two and Ryan Vollans-McMillan with three.
Second game of the day had the Baldwin Electric U15 Bayhawks losing to the Nepean Knights 7 – 4.
Scoring in the loss were Ben Markland, Max Bucknell, Ryker Ivanic and Wade Doreen.
The last game of the day had the Schoonhoven Landscaping U17 Bayhawks take the Zone 5 C Championship.
Scoring for Schoonhoven Landscaping in the win were Logan Rivard, Callum Decker x two and Patrick Fee with three.
All Quinte Bayhawks teams will be taking part in the Annual Ontario Lacrosse Festival in Whitby Aug 4 – 13.
