There will be plenty of Quinte Skyhawks in Windsor this weekend as two of their minor football teams have advanced to the AA Summer Cup finals.
Sunday at Mary Ann Sills Park the Under 16 Skyhawks defeated Sudbury 17-15.
And in what Skyhawks president and coach Peter Gabriel called one of the craziest games he’s been a part of, the Quinte Under 14 Skyhawks rallied to beat the Jr. Gryphons 39-31 in overtime in Guelph.
Quinte tied the game with a punt through the end zone with nine seconds left in regulation before winning in overtime.
The AA championships will be played Saturday at the University of Windsor.
