On July 26, 2023, at 12:55 p.m., Belleville police responded to a call on Front Street regarding the theft of a motorized scooter. The scooter, a Hiboy S2 Pro, was stolen from outside a business.
Police attended and were able to identify the suspect, and he was later located, however, he no longer had the scooter with him. Justin Minaker, 35 years old of Belleville, was arrested and charged with theft under $5000.
He was later released with an August 2023 court date. Anyone who has information about, or observes the scooter, is asked to call the Belleville Police Service.
