Two young Quinte Skyhawks football teams have advanced to the Summer Cup semi-finals in their respective Ontario Junior Football divisions.
The Quinte Under 14’s defense dominated the line of scrimmage to help the Skyhawks shut out Niagara 18-0.
Marko Fobert had a breakout game on offense rushing for over 200 yards and scoring two touchdowns.
The U-14s head to Guelph to face the Junior Gryphons on Saturday.
Defense was also the name of the game as the Under 16 Skyhawks defeated the Guelph Jr. Gryphons 10-2. Tight end Charlie Mooney scored the game’s lone touchdown.
The U-16s host the Sudbury Spartans on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Mary Ann Sills Park.
