It’s a big Friday for Rotary Loves Kids.
They are hosting two events to raise money for children’s care across the Quinte region.
The first event is the Rotary Loves Kids Golf Tournament and the other event is Party on the Bay at West Zwick’s Party.
The Rotary Loves Kids Golf Tournament will take place at two golf courses, Black Bear Ridge and Trillium Wood.
Co-chair of Rotary Loves Kids, Cassandra Bonn, says spots are limited to register for the golf tournament.
“There are still golf spots available at Trillium Wood,” Bonn tells Quinte News. “There’s very few so if you are still thinking of golfing by all means, we’d love to have you.”
Those who take part in the golf tournament will get a round of golf with a golf cart included, lunch, dinner and access to Party on the Bay.
More information on the tournament, as well as a link to register, can be found at the Rotary Loves Kids website.
For Party on the Bay, there will be live music from the band Cue the Funk, a licensed bar and 50/50 tickets available.
Fundraising has been ongoing for 21 years.
“To date, we’ve raised $1.8 million for supporting Rotary Club initiatives and especially helping the kids of Quinte. That’s our focus,” Bonn tells Quinte News.
“So I think we’ve done a fantastic job of doing that and we’re definitely on target to raise our goal this year of $100,000.”
