Saturday’s rainfall came down hard and smashed the previous July 15 rainfall record.
Measurements taken at CFB Trenton found 40mm of rain came down over the course of the day, destroying the previous record of just 33mm, which had been set in 2003.
Sunday’s record currently stands at 70mm, set in 1951.
