The Trenton Golden Hawks have signed a new forward.
Head Coach Derek Smith has announced the acquisition of forward Owen Irenton from the Ayr Centennials of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League.
The 18-year-old player from Cambridge has 79 points in 96 previous regular season games.
“We are really excited by what we have seen from Irenton over the past two seasons and think that he can only go up over the next two years,” said Head Coach Smith. “Owen is a good-skating, highly skilled forward and will be able to make an offensive impact. We think he is going to be a perfect fit for the Trenton Golden Hawks.”
Irenton is eligible to play two more seasons in junior hockey.
